Nasus Pharma Is Targeting the Next Evolution of Emergency Allergy Treatment - And Wall Street Is Starting to Notice

For decades, emergency treatment for severe allergic reactions has barely changed. Patients at risk of anaphylaxis still carry bulky injectors, wrestle with needle anxiety, and depend on therapies that many believe are overdue for innovation.

Nasus Pharma (NYSE American: NSRX) thinks it has a better answer — and a newly released Zacks Small-Cap Research initiation report points to a market opportunity the analyst believes is substantial.

Zacks initiated coverage on the company with a $19 valuation target, above the stock’s recent trading price of $2.87 cited in the report. The report paints a picture of a small but increasingly compelling biotech attempting to modernize one of medicine’s most critical emergency treatments.

At the center of the story is NS002, Nasus Pharma’s powder-based intranasal epinephrine product designed for patients experiencing anaphylaxis. Instead of relying on injections, the company has developed a needle-free nasal spray platform intended to deliver epinephrine rapidly through the nasal cavity and into the bloodstream. According to the report, the product was specifically engineered to overcome several limitations tied to traditional injectable therapies, including slow delivery, short shelf life, cumbersome design, and fear of needles.

The timing may be ideal. Severe allergies and anaphylaxis cases continue to rise globally, while millions of at-risk individuals still do not consistently carry emergency epinephrine. According to the Zacks report, the addressable market may include more than 10 million people in the United States alone, with the global epinephrine market estimated between $2.5 billion and $3 billion annually.

What appears to have caught analysts’ attention most, however, is the clinical data.

According to topline Phase II results cited in the report, NS002 reached therapeutic plasma concentrations significantly faster than EpiPen, hitting target levels in roughly 1.69 minutes versus 3.42 minutes for the incumbent injectable therapy. In emergency medicine, minutes matter — and the report repeatedly emphasizes the importance of rapid epinephrine delivery during severe allergic reactions.

The data became even more compelling at early time intervals. According to the analyst, 67.4% of NS002 patients reached target plasma concentrations within 2.5 minutes, compared to just 27.1% for EpiPen.

Equally important, according to the company, the treatment was generally well tolerated with no serious adverse events or cardiovascular complications observed during the study.

That combination - faster delivery, needle-free administration, and encouraging safety data - underlies the analyst’s positive view of the company’s platform.

According to the report, Nasus plans to begin its pivotal study in the fourth quarter of 2026, with topline data expected in early 2027 and a potential FDA submission later that year using the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway. Because epinephrine itself is already a well-established and approved drug, Zacks believes the company may benefit from a potentially more streamlined regulatory process.

The technology itself may also give Nasus a differentiated position within the increasingly competitive needle-free allergy market. While companies like ARS Pharmaceuticals have already validated intranasal epinephrine commercially, Zacks argues Nasus’ powder-based formulation may offer advantages in drug deposition and absorption compared to liquid nasal sprays.

According to the company, its proprietary Nasax platform is designed to distribute powder deeper into highly absorbent areas of the nasal cavity where traditional liquid sprays struggle to reach efficiently.

And NS002 may only be the beginning.

Nasus is also developing additional intranasal powder therapies targeting opioid overdose reversal, nausea and vomiting, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular indications. While those programs remain earlier stage, they reinforce the broader ambition behind the platform: turning powder-based nasal delivery into a scalable pharmaceutical technology engine.

The company has also quietly strengthened its financial position. According to the report, Nasus completed a $15 million private placement earlier this year, providing what Zacks believes is enough capital to fund operations through its anticipated NDA submission.

For now, the market appears to be focused on one central question: can Nasus become the company that finally redefines emergency epinephrine delivery? The analyst believes the possibility is real. According to the report, NS002 has the potential to become “the new standard of care” for outpatient anaphylaxis management.
